3 generations

I really like Kaisers Base Coat collection. It's fun to do some really masculine pages for a change. I love this pic of my nephew with his Dad and Gran, taken on Mothers Day.
I had a cortisone injection this week. I am in two minds about it. I think the pain is less, but there is a lot more stiffness and I don't feel well, my head is woozy and I am so tired even though I am sleeping well. Hopefully things will pick up this week and I will get more scrapping done.

Another months goes by.....

It's amazing how quickly time goes by when you are doing nothing. I have been pottering in my scrap room mostly making cards and yesterday I went to a scrap day at my LSS and managed a couple of LO's and started a couple more.

I think I might have got the inspiration for these from Pinterest and quite enjoyed making these.
These photos were taken on Mothers day. It was good to get 3 generations ...... My Mum, Me and my girls.
and this is 2 of my girls with their cousin Tania when she came to stay from NZ in January.

I have finally seen a specialist about my back. I get to have a cortisone injection this week, then an MRI next week and another visit with the specialist. So hope to have a better idea of whats happened to me and how to get better by the 11th June.

Meanwhile back to scrapping.....am even going to do a little bit of patchwork this month.....have a weekend away planned with a friend to relax and do some sewing for a change.

ULO's

I have decided that its time to go back to all the unfinished LO's and try to complete them.I started these 2 in January and just couldn't quite work out how to finish them. Well inspiration has finally come and here they are.
This is my darling nephew at Xmas. Boy was he excited to get this big truck and his Uncle was just as excited to give it to him.........."Boys and their Toys"
and this is Erin just enjoying Xmas.
I used 2  papers in the My Minds Eye - All is bright range and was able to mix and match and then add a few embellishments. Simple really......but still seems to take me ages.

Well my back is still playing up........so wont be back at work just yet...... need to see the Ed  Dept Dr to see if I can go back, don't want to risk doing any more damage. I have a specialist appt in 2months, but am hoping o be back at work before then.

Meanwhile I will have lots of time for scrapping.

Pinterest inspiration

I love looking at all the ideas on Pinterest. One idea inspired me to make these 2 cards

At my local SBS they have a monthly challenge pack. I have used this months pack to make this LO of my DD1 Graduation. Love working with red and black. There are more pics of Erin's graduation so I am sure I will be doing more LO's of this mile stone in her life.

I am still suffering with my back problem, but at least I can scrap now.........so many ideas in my head.....where to start.....

Wow!!! Can't believe it's been nearly a year since my last post.

I have really struggled with my scrapping over the last year. I started a number of projects but was unable to finish them.Over the last month or so things have picked up and I have a couple of LO's to share.
This is a very simple LO making the most of the pp and a series of snapshots taken of my DD2 - Caitlin on her 23rd birthday. We had such a fun night  and that's what I wanted this page to be about.

I worked with these ladies over 30 years ago (Yikes!!!) and we had a little reunion earlier this year. Again it's a simple LO using the most of The pp.

Lastly this was a CSI challenge that I did in January. I love the colours and embellishments that I used on this one. Last year My wonderful children gave me a horse drawn wagon trail ride through the Swan Valley. Something I have wanted to do for ages.  This LO means a lot me as I will treasure the memory of this day forever.

I have injured my back and am on some fairly strong pain medication.I can't drive, work or even do housework :) But I can sit at my scrap desk sooo hopefully I an produce some projects to share over the next few weeks.

CSI 19

Starting to feel better, though my voice is still not right and I tire very easily. Anyway I have managed to do another CSI challenge

I had a lot of fun playing with gesso and paint and a Tim Holtz mask to create the BG then I went through some old photos and found these ones of Erin cuddling Michael just after he got home from hospital (20 years ago). I hand made the rosette flower and used cicles alot.

Back to work tomorrow - I hope I can make it through a whole day.

What to do when you have no voice

I have been sick for a week now with laryngitis and synisits. Can't talk  -can't work. What to do!!! I thought I would get lots of scrapping done but my mojo had also gone. I have struggled all week to do the latest CSI challenge, finally finished it this morning only to find the internet wasn't working-so frustrating. Anyway I am back on-line and got in with 10 mins to spare... phew!!!!
This is my dd1 when she lived in Sydney and it talks about how living on the other side of the country from all her family and friends helped her grow into the woman she is today.

My voice still hasn't returned, The Drs say rest as its viral they can't do anything. So it looks like another week of work. Hopefully my mojo comes back and I will have created heaps. LOL
